Commissioned in 2017 by longtime Singer client Scott Blattner, the Dynamics and Lightweight Study (DLS) sought to push the limits of the 964-generation Porsche 911 using advanced lightweight materials. Limited to just 75 units, the DLS extensively employs carbon fiber, magnesium, and titanium, resulting in a curb weight of just 990 kg. It features Brembo monobloc calipers, carbon-ceramic rotors, EXE-TC bespoke damping, and BBS magnesium center-lock wheels.
At the core of the DLS is a 4.0-liter flat-six engine developed by Williams Advanced Engineering with Mezger’s guidance. Producing 500 horsepower, it features four-valve heads, titanium connecting rods, and a 9,000 rpm redline. Power is sent through a magnesium Hewland six-speed transmission.
The “JAG Commission,” based on a 1990 Carrera 4, sports a Fluid Silver exterior with titanium accents and a Platinum decklid badge. The interior is finished in black semi-aniline leather with custom Dedar Hermes seat inserts. Modern comforts include air conditioning, heated front glass, a Focal audio system, and an optional axle lift system.
