The Overuse of “Supercar”
A term that’s been flogged to death and overused for eons in the auto industry is “supercar.” Yes, I get that there’s no real definition (at least one that everyone agrees on), but it’s been used to describe some pretty mundane — in my opinion — not very “super” cars. A few of my nominations: The 1980 BMW M1 (underpowered), the Cadillac CT5 (it’s a Cadillac, nuf said), and the Dodge Hellcat (a drag car, not a supercar!).
