Kaege Retro, a German company, has been crafting restomods based on the Porsche 993 since 2010. Founder Roger Kaege chose the 993 as his foundation, setting his approach apart from other firms. Among their creations is the Kaege Retro Turbo, built on a 993 Turbo, featuring all-wheel drive and over 450 hp.
The carbon-fiber bodywork of the Kaege Retro Turbo takes its styling cues from the 1970s 911 RS and incorporates flared fenders, a ducktail spoiler with a carbon fiber grille, early-style chrome bumperettes, and H4-look LED headlights.
You can now acquire one of these backdated 993s through auction on Bring A Trailer. Built under Kaege’s guidance in 2020, this car received carbon-fiber body panels, a custom exhaust, KW sport suspension, 18″ three-piece Fuchs-style wheels, and Recaro seats.
The car is finished in Firn White with green bodyside stripes and includes chrome accents like fuel and oil filler caps, door handles, and bullet-style mirrors, alongside a carbon-fiber front spoiler, rear diffuser, LED taillights, Kaege badging, and a sunroof.
Inside, the cockpit features Recaro Pole Position seats upholstered in Nephrite Green leather with Pepita cloth inserts, complemented by matching door panels, green leather dash pads, and a Porsche Classic infotainment system.
Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six with a factory X50 Turbo Power Kit, the engine has been modified with an aftermarket ECU and cooling upgrades to produce 510 hp. Power is delivered to all four wheels via a six-speed manual and a limited-slip differential.
