A true collector’s piece from Porsche’s legendary Zuffenhausen factory, this 2005 Porsche Carrera GT is one of just 1,270 units produced and among only 644 delivered to the United States. Its 5.7L mid-mounted V-10 engine delivers 605 HP, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a twin-disc ceramic dry clutch.
Chassis 001274, built in March 2005, has had only two private owners and shows minimal use, making it one of the most desirable examples of the Carrera GT. Originally finished in GT Silver Metallic with a matching roof panel, it features a Terracotta leather interior with air conditioning, XT bucket racing seats, a Porsche Online Pro audio system, and a complete set of Terracotta luggage. The car was initially sold by Bert Smith International in St. Petersburg, Florida.
It reportedly remained in Florida until at least 2017 before being acquired by a Kansas collector in 2021. Shortly after, an $18,000 service was performed by Byers Imports of Columbus, Ohio, including a new water pump, engine belts, spark plugs, tire pressure sensors, and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Acquired by the current owner in January 2022, the car has seen minimal use, with just 267 miles on the odometer at cataloging.
This 2005 Porsche Carrera GT is set to cross the auction block at RM Sotheby’s on November 22 and will be accompanied by its owner’s manuals, Terracotta luggage, a wheel nut socket, service records, a window sticker copy, and the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
