This 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0, listed for sale on Bring a Trailer, is one of just 600 examples built and has only 144 original miles on the odometer. Part of the 997 generation, the GT3 RS 4.0 holds a revered spot in Porsche’s Rennsport lineage. Much like the legendary 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7, this model is destined to be remembered as a high-water mark in Porsche history.
What makes this car particularly special is that it’s the last 911 GT3 equipped with the iconic Mezger engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. As indicated by its name, it houses a 4.0-liter engine that includes the longer-stroke crankshaft from the RSR, delivering 500 horsepower at 8,250 RPM and 339 lb-ft of torque at 5,750 RPM.
This example sports a Carrara White finish with white 19″ center-locking wheels, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, gray and red stripes, bi-xenon headlights, headlight washers, fog lights, Dynamic Cornering Lights, LED taillights, and dual center exhaust outlets.
