Porsche has taken a significant step into the electric era with the all-new Macan EV. It’s a logical step, considering the Macan has been a top seller for Porsche, outperforming the combined sales of the 911, Boxster, and Cayman models last year, despite being on the market for over a decade.
The electric Macan comes in three trims. The base model, a rear-wheel-drive with a single motor, delivers 360 horsepower. Above it, there’s the Macan 4 and Macan 4S, with the Macan Turbo at the top of the range, producing 639 horsepower. The Macan Turbo achieves 0-62 mph in just 3.3 seconds, pushing it firmly into supercar territory among SUVs.
Each model is powered by a robust 100-kWh battery pack. The range varies, with the Turbo capable of 367 miles and the base model nearly reaching 400 miles. Fast-charging capabilities of up to 270 kW mean an 80% charge can be reached in only 20 minutes.
