Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) has announced the finalists in the 2024 Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge. Now, in its fourth year, the Restoration Challenge focuses on classic Porsche sports cars from the 1950s to the 2000s that received expert attention from Porsche-trained technicians – all of whom are ardent enthusiasts, just like many owners. Entries from three sales areas – East, South-Central, and West – were judged by a panel of experts from PCNA and Porsche Club of America at area events over the summer. In total, over 55 vehicles were entered in this year’s contest.
“This year’s competition was truly inspiring,” said Jonathan Sieber, Senior Manager of Porsche Classic. “Each team’s dedication and passion exemplify the true spirit of craftsmanship and passion for vintage Porsche vehicle restoration.”
Porsche Centers across the United States were invited to compete in one of three categories: Preservation, Restoration, or Individualization. The winners will advance to the finals at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles on October 4th.

- Individualization: Porsche Englewood – 1985 911 Carrera Coupe
Area South Central
- Preservation: Harper Porsche – 1994 928 GTS
- Restoration: Porsche Louisville – 1977 911 Turbo
- Individualization: Porsche Charlottesville – 1996 911 Carrera 4 (Type 993)
Area West
- Preservation: Gaudin Porsche of Las Vegas – 1986 911 Targa
- Restoration: Porsche San Francisco – 2006 Cayman S
- Individualization: Porsche Tucson 1979 – 911 SC
Honorable Mentions
At each area event, the attendees also select their favorite participant entries. Below are the honorable mentions for People’s Choice by area:

The Restoration Challenge cars are worked on by Porsche-trained technicians who have a portfolio of more than 80,000 Porsche Classic Genuine Parts at their disposal. America is home to more classic Porsche vehicles than any other market in the world. The Porsche Classic U.S. headquarters is in Atlanta on the campus of One Porsche Drive and provides repairs, restoration services, and Sonderwunsch factory programs to all Porsche Classic customer vehicles – from early models to model year 2004.
