Nardone Automotive, a French company, has reimagined Porsche’s V8-powered 928 with a modern twist. This restomod features design updates inside and out, a custom carbon fiber body, and a 400+ horsepower V8 engine.
The 928’s iconic wedge-shaped design has been refreshed with redesigned bumpers, flared wheel arches, a modern interpretation of the original flip-up headlights, and a new rear light bar. The car now sits on 18-inch wheels inspired by the original 16-inch versions, and the extensive use of carbon fiber helps keep the weight low.
Inside, the cabin is enhanced with leather and Alcantara upholstery. The minimalist design of the instrument cluster and center stack maintains a period-correct feel, while the Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) system adds modern Apple CarPlay compatibility.
The powertrain is an evolved version of the original V8, now producing around 400 horsepower, paired with a six-speed manual transaxle, limited-slip differential, upgraded brakes, electronic suspension, and electric power steering, delivering a significantly different driving experience from the original.
Let’s take a closer look at this Porsche restomod based on the 928 in this video from Top Gear on YouTube.
