Unveiled at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show, the SCR combines classic design elements with cutting-edge engineering. It features a Mezger-derived alloy engine and carbon ceramic brakes, alongside a naturally aspirated 4-liter flat-six engine producing 510 horsepower.
Special features include embroidered details, painted brake calipers, a front axle lifter, and a spare set of lightweight matte black wheels. With performance figures like 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h, it’s lauded for its agile handling and potent powertrain.
This particular SCR is one of only 70 units produced and is the first production example that was also used by RUF for extensive testing, amounting to approximately 4,900 kilometers of its total 11,000 at the time of documentation.
This example is finished in Light Green over a bespoke brown deerskin interior. Its interior features bespoke embroidery of the RUF logo, a mountain scene, a stag’s head, and the outline of Bavaria, all matching the exterior color. Equipped with a variable exhaust system and front axle hydraulic lifter, it includes extras like a lightweight battery, fire extinguisher, and original books.
Registered in Germany in October 2022 and serviced by RUF in October 2023, this particular SCR will be auctioned publicly for the first time at RM Sotheby’s upcoming Tegernsee Auction, estimated to fetch between $1,200,000 – $1,750,000 USD.
