Inspired by the 911 models of the 1960s and 1970s, the new Porsche Sport Classic is among the most striking limited editions crafted by Porsche in recent years. With a production limit of 1,250 units, it pays homage not only to the 2010 911 Sport Classic but also to the esteemed Carrera RS 2.7.
Key visual elements include a distinctive double-bubble roof, Fuchs-style wheels, and the iconic ducktail spoiler. Retro touches continue inside with gold badges, dark green gauges, and elegant wood trim on the dashboard.
Based on the Porsche 911 Turbo S, this wide-bodied 911 incorporates the engine from the current-generation Porsche 911 Turbo. Porsche fine-tuned the turbocharged 3.7-liter flat-six to produce slightly less power than the Turbo or Turbo S.
Generating 543 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque, the 992 Sport Classic channels its power through a 7-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels, establishing itself as the most potent 911 available with a stick.
This specific Sport Classic is in pristine condition, having been driven a mere 350 miles since new by its current owner. It features the launch edition’s Sport Grey Metallic exterior and a stunning “Heritage Design” interior in black and classic cognac leather, complete with charming pepita inserts in the seats and door panels.
With a production run even more limited than the 911 Dakar and 911 S/T, the Sport Classic is a dream machine for Porsche enthusiasts and history buffs. It delivers an exhilarating modern driving experience without sacrificing its classic character. This particular example is ready to be cherished and enjoyed, just as Porsche intended.
