Porsche has not disclosed specific details about the new Taycan or its official name, but it is evident that this new variant is faster around the track. This new Taycan which is rumored to feature tri-motor setup, generating over 1,000hp, recently completed a lap around the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7:07.55. This achievement beats the previous record for a Porsche electric vehicle, held by the Taycan Turbo S in 2022, by a remarkable 26 seconds.
“Twenty-six seconds is half an eternity in motorsport. Lars’ lap time of 7:07.55 minutes on the Nordschleife is sensational, putting the Taycan in the same league as electric hypercars,” says head of the model line, Kevin Giek. “And the impressive thing about it is that over several laps, Lars clocked almost exactly the same time.”
Lars Kern’s lap time of 7:07.55 minutes positions the Taycan very close to the Rimac Nevera’s time of 7:05.298. This accomplishment not only reinforces Porsche’s leadership in electric vehicle performance but also underscores the brand’s dedication to go beyond the boundaries of automotive innovation.
