FOR SALE: Modified 1979 Porsche 911SC Coupe 3.2L

This 1979 Porsche 911SC has received some modifications, such as adding IROC/RS body styling, an upgraded suspension, custom interior, gold Fuchs wheels, and a 3.2-liter Carrera engine with performance enhancements. After its completion in 2016, the current owner had it repainted in matte silver, installed new interior pieces, and recently had the engine rebuilt.

The coupe’s bodywork features fiberglass IROC-style bumpers, a ducktail rear spoiler, drilled door handles, LED headlights, and a sunroof-delete panel. It was refinished in matte silver in 2018 and rides on gold 17″ Fuchs-style wheels with Toyo Proxes R1R tires. Normal signs of road wear include rock chips on the front end.

The interior boasts new lightweight RS carpeting, custom seat covers, a roll bar, RS-style door panels, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, a WEVO shifter, and Rennline aluminum pedals and floorboards. The seller reports the heating, A/C, and speakers have been removed, and some gauges are not working properly.

Powering the car is an air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine with a front-mounted RSR oil cooler, high-flow air filter, stainless-steel headers, and a Stinger exhaust system. It is coupled with a 5-speed 915 manual transaxle, upgraded suspension with larger torsion bars, a strut brace, and Koni shock absorbers. A top-end engine rebuild was completed within the last 60 miles, including new fluids, belts, spark plugs, ignition wires, and fuel lines.

Now, the car is up for auction by its seller in Wisconsin and will come with a clean title, owner’s manuals, and some miscellaneous parts.
