Porsche 911 (992) GT3 Touring Review
Chris got the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the Porsche GB demonstrator GT3 Touring ahead of the delivery of his own car! The 992 GT3, regardless of whether optioned with or without a wing, features the same potent flat-six motor we have all come to know from the GT3 model line. The 992 generation of Touring is also the first time where owners have been allowed to option the PDK gearbox. This example in the video is equipped with the manual gearbox however. Who can like this ugly looking car with fake electric steering offering no feedback at all? I drove it for like a whole month and it’s not even close to the 997 in terms of driver feedback or rawness. In fact, the long travel brakes are gone, analog dials and buttons are gone, wheelbase and dimensions have increased. It’s so large that it’s no longer as agile as the older gens. I don’t know how much Porsche pays these reviewers and websites to write glorious reviews, but all P cars post the 997 gen have only gone backwards for purists and enthusiasts alike.
