A 60th birthday is a significant milestone, and Porsche has commemorated the occasion with the 911 S/T, a limited-edition sports car that pays tribute to the iconic model. This vehicle, marking the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911, embraces a purist philosophy, giving up modern technological advancements in favor of a more analog driving experience.
The Porsche 911 S/T boasts a lightweight design, incorporating carbon fiber elements and thinner glass. It comes equipped with a high-revving, 518bhp engine from the 911 GT3 RS and a 6-speed manual gearbox featuring a lightweight flywheel and a clutch that’s only half the weight of the GT3 Touring’s. The chassis configuration provides excellent control and balance without the aggressive steering found in the GT3.
Let’s go see what the folks at Top Gear thinks about this new limited-edition Porsche and if it truly delivers to its promise as the ultimate road-focused 911.
